    • The thesis includes developing a stemming (prefix and suffix) algorithm for words in Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language) based on Porter algorithm (suffix only for English) and also a modular text retrieval environment. The stemming algorithm and retrieval environment have been used for subsequent researches e.g. the stemming algorithm is used in:
