Description
The purpose of this course is to help improve students' ability for
presenting their technical work. It also teaches students about the nature
of engineering as a profession, codes of professional conduct, ethics &
responsibility, and the role of engineering societies. The course features
students' participation in discussions held by COE faculty members and
invited guests.

Guidelines
This is a Pass/Fail class. The passing criteria are:
- Attending a minimum of 80% of all presentations
- Delivering a presentation on an emerging field of
Computer Science & Engineering. The presentation should be either:
- Extracted from (or related to ) the student’s MS/PhD research proposal
- Survey papers (at least 4) recently published (within the last three years) or
published in high impact conferences or reputed Journals
You are required to do the following before delivering a seminar:
- Send an e-mail to the course coordinator specifying:
- Title of the seminar
- Abstract
- Your short biography (CV)
- Submit a copy of the MS-PowerPoint presentation slides 3 days
before the scheduled presentation date to the course coordinator
- Submit an electronic copy of the paper(s) that form the basis for the presentation
