CSI Announces New Multi-Function Smart Card System

At Cebit '97, CSI announced the availability of CardBASE2000^®, a new chip card payment system, associated with quality, functionality, on-time delivery and flexibility. A card issuer uses CardBASE2000^® to manage any form of secure electronic value transactions, for a card base population, typically greater than 50,000 card holders.

Advance orders for CardBASE2000^® have been secured by CSI from customers in the U.A.E., Russia, and South America.

In Western Europe, CSI sells directly to financial (Banks), and non-financial card issuers (Telecom, Airline, Retail). In other markets, CSI has appointed quality distributors who are proficient in the sales, marketing, implementation and support of CSI products.

CSI is an Irish company serving world markets from offices in Dublin, Ireland. The Company supports customers in English and French, with application software delivered in a language of customer choice.

Since the formation of CSI in 1993, the company has developed rapidly to become a leading supplier of chip card payment systems. The CSI customer base extends from Ireland, to Russia, to Asia, the Middle East, South America and Europe including Belgium and the United Kingdom.
