Completed and pending research projects:  

1.
Design of ``A Fully Computerized and Programmable Robot System'', Department of Nuclear Instrumentation, CEA, Saclay, France. December 1982.
2.
Design of Microprocessor-Controlled Sensor for Qualitative Testing, The project lead to the design of a ``Sensor for the Detection of Internal Cracks'', The Research Project supported by the Research Institute (RI) at KFUPM, Completed in June 1990.

3.
Analysis of Computing Requirements for Robotics Systems, Research Project supported by the Research Institute (RI) at KFUPM, Completed in Dec. 1991.

4.
Investigation of Automatic Data Partitioning for Data-Parallel Programming, with Dr. K. Al-Tawil. Submitted for funding to King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. Budget of SR 100,000 (USD 25,000). Under revision, June 1999.

5.
Designing of a data Partitioning Software Tool for Data-Parallel Programming, with Dr. K. Al-Tawil, For funding by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology. Budget of SR 400,000 (USD 110,000). To be submitted in December 1999.

6.
Designing of a Head-Motion Robotic System for Handicapped, with Dr. Fouad Al-Sunni, submitted for funding to Prince Salman Center for Disability Research, Budget of SR 200,000 (USD 55,000). Arabic version (required) is in preparation. To be submitted. Fall 1999.

7.
Designing of a Teleoperation (telepresence) Systems with Multimedia capability for Operations in LAN environments, with Dr. Onur Toker (SE), and Dr. Nesar Merah (ME). Funded by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). Budget of SR 400,000 (USD 110,000). Completed in April 2004.
